The 2017 Rolex Middle Sea Race will be known for the record attrition among the 104 teams that started the 606nm circumnavigation of Sicily and surrounding islands on October 21. Only 30 boats have overcome the brutal conditions to cross the finish line.
It was the debut race for Eric de Turckheim´s Nivelt Muratet 54 Teasing Machine and a great succes for this that team has proven to be a solid competitor with a lot of potential to exploit.
King Marine will build two brand new TP52 for the 2018 seasson. We appreciate the trust of Azzurra and Onda teams who has chosen once again our boat yard.
The two sister ships will be designed by Botin Partners and already under construction at Valencia.
Winning the final regatta of the year to become the only crew to win two events in 2017, the Roemmers familyís Azzurra which represents the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda are the new 52 SUPER SERIES champions.
